Angel Wamuyu Wangechi, a PP1 pupil, was reported missing after she failed to return home from an evening of playing with friends near her family’s residence. Her disappearance prompted an immediate search by relatives, neighbours, and members of the community.

According to her mother, the search began after a neighbourhood child informed the family that Angel could not be found. As the search intensified, the family received devastating news that the child’s body had been discovered in a pit latrine.
