Arsenal FC took another confident step toward the Premier League title, dispatching Fulham FC 3-0 in a composed and efficient display at home.
While the scoreline suggests dominance, the real story was Arsenal’s clinical first-half execution that effectively ended the contest before halftime. New attacking talisman Viktor Gyökeres proved decisive, scoring twice and showcasing the cutting edge that has fueled Arsenal’s title push.
The breakthrough came early, as Bukayo Saka created space with a clever run before setting up Gyökeres for a simple finish. The duo combined again later in the half, this time with Gyökeres turning provider as Saka doubled the lead against former Gunner Bernd Leno.
Just before the interval, Gyökeres capped his standout performance by heading in a cross from Leandro Trossard, putting the result beyond doubt.
With a comfortable cushion, Arsenal shifted gears in the second half, prioritizing control over intensity. Fulham offered little resistance, allowing the league leaders to conserve energy as the title race enters its final stretch.
The win lifts Arsenal to 76 points, opening a six-point gap over Manchester City, though their rivals still hold two games in hand. For Fulham, the defeat leaves them mid-table, still chasing European qualification but losing ground to Brentford FC.
Arsenal’s growing consistency—and Gyökeres’ emergence as a key figure—suggest they are timing their run perfectly as the season n
ears its climax.
