If you’re an Arsenal fan, the last few weeks may have felt like a gut punch — but the title story isn’t finished just yet.

Yes, Manchester City have surged back to the top of the Premier League, grinding out a narrow win over Burnley and showing the kind of relentless consistency that has defined Pep Guardiola’s side for years. Their momentum has turned the pressure dial all the way up.
But Arsenal’s recent stumble doesn’t erase what they’ve built. Under Mikel Arteta, this squad has spent most of the season setting the pace — and even after a difficult stretch that saw cup exits and dropped league points, they’re still firmly in the fight.
A nine-point cushion may have disappeared in less than two weeks, but the bigger picture matters: there are still five matches left, and the margins at the top remain razor-thin.
That makes today’s clash with Newcastle United more than just another fixture — it’s a chance to reset the narrative. A win would send Arsenal back to the summit and, perhaps more importantly, restore belief.
The title race has shifted, not ended. And if this season has proven anything, it’s that momentum in the Premier League can turn just as quickly as it’s lost.
