Senior Presidential Advisor and Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, has called on Ugandans to remain committed to preserving their cultural heritage, describing strong cultural institutions as a foundation for national identity and development.
Namyalo made the remarks on Friday evening while attending a fundraising dinner organized by members of the Ngo Clan at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel. The event was held under the theme, “Promoting Our Cultural Heritage Through Tourism,” and aimed at mobilizing resources to support the clan’s cultural activities.
Addressing the gathering, she urged clan members to continue investing in and supporting their cultural institutions, emphasizing that safeguarding traditions and heritage strengthens the kingdom and preserves its values for future generations.
In a show of support for the initiative, Namyalo contributed UGX 15 million towards the clan’s activities, reaffirming her commitment to efforts that promote culture and community development.
She also encouraged President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s Bazzukulu to take advantage of government empowerment and wealth creation programs, noting that these initiatives provide opportunities to improve household incomes and livelihoods while complementing community development efforts.
