The death of former TV West presenter Angella Kabagambe has sparked an outpouring of tributes from across Uganda, with colleagues, viewers, and community leaders celebrating her lasting contribution to media and community development in western Uganda.
Kabagambe, who also served at Uganda Catholic Television (UCTV), was widely recognized as one of the prominent television personalities who helped shape local broadcasting in the region. Her death was confirmed on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
For many viewers, Kabagambe was more than a television presenter. Through her work on popular TV West programs such as *Ndyamusiimanta*, *Emikoro*, and other weekend shows, she became a familiar and trusted voice in households across Ankole, Kigezi, Tooro, and Bunyoro.
Her engaging presentation style and ability to connect with audiences earned her a loyal following during her years on screen. She was particularly admired for promoting local culture, community values, and conversations that resonated with viewers throughout western Uganda.
Former colleagues have described her as hardworking, humble, and deeply committed to her profession. Many recalled her memorable collaborations with fellow presenters, including Kenneth Kanyesigye, popularly known as Brother Keno, which helped create some of TV West’s most beloved programs.

Through her media platforms, she frequently highlighted issues related to faith, community transformation, and social empowerment.
