Kasambya County MP Daudi Kabanda has intensified his public feud with Presidential Adviser Odrek Rwabwogo, declaring that only death will stop him from speaking out against President Yoweri Museveni’s son-in-law.

Kabanda made the remarks amid reports that Rwabwogo had sought President Museveni’s intervention over the legislator’s continued criticism and social media attacks.
According to Kabanda, Rwabwogo presented his statements to the President and allegedly wanted the Head of State to publicly distance himself from the outspoken MP in a move he claims was intended to tarnish his political reputation.
However, Kabanda dismissed the reported efforts, insisting he would not be intimidated by influential individuals within the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
*”What can actually stop me from talking about the thieves like him is death, nothing else,”* Kabanda said.
The MP also defended his political record, arguing that he played a key role in strengthening NRM support in Mubende despite operating with limited resources.
Kabanda further levelled corruption and land-related allegations against Rwabwogo, claims that remain disputed. He challenged President Museveni to address the issues he has been raising rather than focusing on his criticism.
The public exchange has drawn attention because of Rwabwogo’s close relationship with the First Family and Kabanda’s reputation as one of the NRM’s most outspoken legislators.
Reports also indicate that Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has advised Kabanda to refrain from attacking Rwabwogo. However, the legislator says he has no intention of backing down.
The dispute has fuelled debate over internal disagreements within the ruling party and the extent to which NRM leaders can openly criticise one another without repercussions.
Neither Rwabwogo nor State House had publicly responded to Kabanda’s latest remarks by the time of publication.
