The discussions focused on proposals to expand the industrial park to accommodate additional investors and support the country’s industrialisation agenda.
Mukalazi commended President Museveni for his continued commitment to promoting industrial development through policies aimed at creating a favourable investment climate.
She said the government’s support has enabled industries to grow, creating employment opportunities, promoting value addition to locally available raw materials and increasing Uganda’s export potential.
“The expansion of the industrial park reflects growing confidence among investors in Uganda’s economy and industrial sector,” Mukalazi said.

She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting sustainable industrial growth and attracting both local and foreign investment as part of efforts to accelerate economic transformation.
The Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park is one of the country’s key manufacturing hubs and forms part of the government’s broader strategy to promote industrialisation, boost exports and create jobs through increased private sector investment.
The meeting underscored Uganda’s continued efforts to position itself as a competitive investment destination within the region by expanding industrial infrastructure and supporting manufacturing-led economic growth.
