President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, emphasizing trade and investment as key pillars of the bilateral relationship.
Speaking during a farewell meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Uganda, H.E. Frederieke Quispel, at Kisozi Farm, the President commended the envoy for her contribution to deepening relations between the two countries during her tenure.
President Museveni noted that Uganda and the Netherlands have made significant progress in shifting their partnership from traditional development assistance towards trade, investment, and sustainable economic cooperation.

He encouraged the outgoing ambassador to continue promoting Uganda as an attractive investment destination by mobilising more investors from the Netherlands and the wider European Union to explore opportunities in agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, and other productive sectors.
The President expressed appreciation for the ambassador’s service and wished her success in her future assignments, expressing confidence that the strong relationship between Uganda and the Netherlands would continue to grow.
The meeting underscored Uganda’s broader strategy of expanding international partnerships that promote investment, industrialisation, job creation, and long-term economic development.
