Police have launched investigations into the death of an 18-year-old student at Naalya S.S. Bweyogerere Campus in Kira Municipality, Wakiso District.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Public Relations Officer ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, officers from Bweyogerere Police Station responded to the school on the evening of July 8 after receiving a report that the student had been found dead within the school premises.

Police visited the scene, documented evidence, recorded statements from witnesses, and transferred the body to Mulago City Mortuary for a post-mortem examination to help establish the exact cause of death.
Investigators also recovered a handwritten note believed to have been authored by the deceased. Police say the document will form part of the ongoing investigation as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities have not released further details, emphasizing that investigations are continuing. They have urged the public to avoid speculation and allow investigators to complete their inquiries before drawing conclusions.
The incident has left the school community in shock, with students, staff, and parents awaiting the outcome of theinvestigation.
