KAWEWETA — More than 10,000 Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) recruits have officially passed out after completing basic military training at the Kaweweta Basic Military Training School.
The pass-out ceremony was presided over by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the UPDF. The event marked the completion of months of intensive military training aimed at preparing the recruits for service in the national defence force.

The graduates underwent instruction in military discipline, physical fitness, weapons handling, field tactics, and other essential skills required for professional military service.
Senior military officers, government officials, and relatives of the recruits attended the ceremony, which celebrated the successful completion of training and the recruits’ transition into active service.
The graduation of more than 10,000 recruits underscores the UPDF’s continued efforts to strengthen its human resource capacity and maintain operational readiness.
