KAMPALA— Prince Mulungi Peter has called on Ugandans to strengthen patriotism, unity and responsible citizenship, saying the country’s future depends on citizens working together despite their differences.
In a message titled **“One Nation, One Heart: The Power of Patriotism, Unity and Responsible Leadership,”** Prince Mulungi said Ugandans should place the interests of the country above divisions based on tribe, religion, gender, colour or social background.
He described patriotism as more than simply expressing love for Uganda, saying it should be demonstrated through responsible behaviour, respect for the law, hard work and active contribution to national development.
“Patriotism means loving and serving our country regardless of where we come from, our tribe, gender, religion, or colour,” he said.
Prince Mulungi said Uganda’s diversity should be regarded as a strength rather than a source of division.
