HOIMA CITY — The Permanent Secretary, Lt. Gen. Joseph Musanyufu, has officially opened the National Citizenship and Immigration Control (NCIC) annual three-day senior management retreat at Kabalega Resort in Hoima City.

The retreat, presided over by the Acting Chief of NCIC, Col. Geoffrey Kambere, brings together senior managers and board members to review the institution’s performance and strengthen strategic leadership.
According to the organisers, the retreat is intended to enhance strategic focus, promote open dialogue and team alignment, strengthen accountability and build leadership capacity within the institution.
Speaking at the opening session, Lt. Gen. Musanyufu underscored the importance of effective leadership, teamwork and accountability in improving service delivery and achieving the organisation’s mandate.
The retreat is also expected to provide a platform for senior managers to assess ongoing programmes, identify operational challenges and develop strategies aimed at improving efficiency and institutional performance.
Among those attending the retreat are the Acting Chairperson of the NCIC Board, Hon. Beatrice Lagada, Board member Prof. Eria Hisali and the Commissioner for Inspection and Compliance, Dr Josephine Ekwang Ali.
The annual retreat forms part of NCIC’s efforts to strengthen institutional governance, improve coordination among senior management and enhance the implementation of its strategic objectives.
