Newly graduated police officers have been urged to carry the discipline, resilience and teamwork acquired during their training into their careers as they prepare to serve Ugandans.
Addressing the graduates during the pass-out ceremony, the chief guest reminded the officers that completing their training was not the end of their journey but the beginning of a demanding responsibility as public servants.
“As you celebrate completing your courses, remember that today also marks the beginning of your demanding commitment to serve Uganda as public officers. The citizens deserve the very best from you,” the graduates were told.
The officers were encouraged to uphold professionalism, integrity and dedication in the execution of their duties, with emphasis placed on maintaining the values instilled throughout their training.
The ceremony was attended by several senior government and security officials, including the Minister of Local Government, Hon. Balaam Barugahara, Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ms. Dorothy Nsereko, Maj. Gen. Henry Matsiko representing the Chief of Defence Forces, Commissioner General of Prisons Canon Johnson Byabashaija, Members of Parliament, leaders from Masindi District and parents of the graduating officers.
The event marked the transition of the graduates from training into active public service, with expectations that they will apply their skills and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in safeguarding the public.
