Sheikh Sinani Muwanika has used the recent Ramadan period to spotlight broader issues of community development, calling for stronger education systems and greater social cohesion while reflecting on a successful local outreach initiative.
Speaking in Iganga, the district Khadi emphasized that meaningful progress in Uganda depends on quality education, urging government and stakeholders to prioritize reforms that can uplift communities and create long-term transformation.
His remarks came in the wake of a Ramadan Iftar gathering organized under the support of Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, where vulnerable families received food assistance. The initiative, delivered during the fasting period, provided relief to many households and drew appreciation from community leaders.
While acknowledging the impact of the outreach, Sheikh Muwanika framed it as an example of the kind of consistent social support needed across the country. He noted that even without being physically present, Namyalo ensured effective coordination and representation, which he said reflects a commitment to service.
Beyond the event itself, the Khadi urged Muslims to focus on discipline, unity, and hard work, describing these as essential not only for spiritual growth but also for socio-economic advancement.
He stressed that combining strong values with improved education would be key to building resilient and self-sustainin
g communities.
